        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  administrative code of the city of New York, in
          relation to collecting NYC 311 call data from incarcerated individuals
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Section 9-154 of the administrative code of the city of New
     2  York,  as  added by local law number 144 of the city of New York for the
     3  year 2018 and the section heading as amended by chapter 486 of the  laws
     4  of 2022, is amended to read as follows:
     5    §  9-154  Telephone  services to incarcerated individuals. 1. The city
     6  shall provide telephone services to individuals within  the  custody  of
     7  the  department  in city correctional facilities at no cost to the indi-
     8  viduals or the receiving parties for domestic telephone calls. The  city
     9  shall  not  be authorized to receive or retain any revenue for providing
    10  telephone services.
    11    2. The New York city office of technology and innovation shall provide
    12  data on all outgoing NYC 311 calls from incarcerated individuals to  the
    13  board  of  corrections.   Such data shall be collected in monthly incre-
    14  ments.
    15    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
