AN ACT to amend chapter 638 of the laws of 2023 amending the insurance
law relating to inspections of private passenger automobiles prior to
the provision of coverage for physical damage thereto, in relation to
making such provisions permanent
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 638 of the laws of 2023 amending the
2 insurance law relating to inspections of private passenger automobiles
3 prior to the provision of coverage for physical damage thereto, is
4 amended to read as follows:
5 § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
6 it shall have become a law [and shall expire and be deemed repealed
7 October 1, 2027]. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or
8 repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implementation of
9 this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and completed
10 on or before such effective date.
11 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
