        AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to the definition of
          a qualified mental health professional for purposes of  mobile  crisis
          outreach teams
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph 2 of subdivision  (d)  of  section  9.58  of  the
     2  mental  hygiene  law,  as amended by chapter 230 of the laws of 2004, is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    (2)  "Qualified mental health  professional"  shall  mean  a  licensed
     5  psychologist,  registered  professional  nurse,  licensed  mental health
     6  counselor, licensed marriage and  family  therapist,  licensed  clinical
     7  social  worker  or a licensed master social worker under the supervision
     8  of a physician, psychologist or licensed clinical social worker.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
    10  it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition,  amend-
    11  ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
    12  tation  of  this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and
    13  completed on or before such effective date.
