Berger) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Higher Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to allowing certain persons to practice as a mental health practitioner under supervision for a certain period of time if application and fee requirements are met The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 8410 of the education law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 12 to read as follows: 3 12. Prohibit or limit the activities or services provided by a person 4 with a master's level degree required for licensure pursuant to this 5 article, working under supervision pursuant to this article for up to 6 ninety days after the submission to the department of (a) application 7 and fee for licensure, and (b) application and fee for a limited permit 8 pursuant to section eighty-four hundred nine of this article. 9 § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed- 10 ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
