AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to the review and
approval of information concerning the statewide opioid settlement
agreement
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision (c-1) of section 25.18 of the mental hygiene
2 law, as added by section 1 of part II of chapter 57 of the laws of 2025,
3 is amended to read as follows:
4 (c-1) On or before November first of each year, any New York [subdivi-
5 sion] government entity that directly received funds pursuant to a
6 statewide opioid settlement agreement shall publicly post on their
7 website information regarding how such funding was utilized and shall
8 submit such information to the office of addiction services and
9 supports. Such information shall be updated on an annual basis. The
10 office of addiction services and supports shall review and approve such
11 information to ensure that the funding was utilized for purposes which
12 are consistent with this section, section ninety-nine-nn of the state
13 finance law and the statewide opioid settlement agreements and then
14 re-post such information, including their review and approval, on its
15 website.
16 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
