RAMOS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to defining a day student for employment purposes The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 9 of section 511 of the labor law, as amended 2 by chapter 1091 of the laws of 1969, is amended to read as follows: 3 9. Day student. The term "employment" does not include service solely 4 performed during [all or any part of the school year or] regular vaca- 5 tion periods [as a part-time worker of] by any person actually in regu- 6 lar attendance [during the day time] as a student in an elementary or 7 secondary school. 8 § 2.
