          on Children and Families
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  social services law, in relation to eliminating
          penalties for mandated reporters that fail to  report;  and  repealing
          certain provisions of such law relating thereto

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 420 of the social services law is REPEALED.
     2    § 2. Subdivision 3 of section  491  of  the  social  services  law  is
     3  REPEALED.
     4    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
