AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
the state highway system to "Detective Brian C. Mulkeen"
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-r to
2 read as follows:
3 § 344-r. Portion of the state highway system to be dedicated to
4 "Detective Brian C. Mulkeen". The bridge on state route six, crossing
5 state route thirty-two, in the town of Woodbury, county of Orange, shall
6 be dedicated to "Detective Brian C. Mulkeen".
7 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
8 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
9 as dedicated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid
10 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the dedi-
11 cation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of
12 ceremonial nature and the official name of such bridge shall not be
13 changed as a result of this act.
14 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
