AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to the form of the juror
qualification questionnaire
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 513 of the judiciary law, as added by chapter 86 of
2 the laws of 1995, is amended to read as follows:
3 § 513. Form of questionnaire. The questionnaire to be filled out by
4 prospective jurors shall be in such form as the chief administrator of
5 the courts may prescribe; provided, however, such questionnaire shall
6 only require a prospective juror who is not a citizen of the United
7 States to certify, under penalty of perjury, that he or she is not a
8 citizen and does not meet the qualifications under section five hundred
9 ten of this article.
10 § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
11 it shall have become a law.
