        Introduced  by  M.  of  A. SANTABARBARA -- read once and referred to the
          Committee on Governmental Operations
 
        AN ACT to amend the state law, in relation to designating the "Honor and
          Remember Flag" as  the  official  state  flag  for  recognizing  armed
          services members

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The state law is amended by adding a new section 93 to read
     2  as follows:
     3    § 93. State flag for recognizing armed services  members.  The  "Honor
     4  and  Remember Flag" shall be the official state flag for recognizing all
     5  armed services members who have died as a result of serving  the  United
     6  States in any war or conflict the nation have been involved in since its
     7  inception. The commissioner of general services shall establish a proto-
     8  col for the flying of such flag.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
