        AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation  to  designating
          security  officers  for  the village court of the village of Pleasant-
          ville as peace officers
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
     2  adding a new subdivision 89 to read as follows:
     3    89. Employees of the village court of  the  village  of  Pleasantville
     4  serving  as  security  officers  at such village court.   These officers
     5  shall only have the powers listed in paragraphs (b),  (h),  and  (i)  of
     6  subdivision one of section 2.20 of this article; provided, however, that
     7  nothing in this subdivision shall be deemed to authorize such officer to
     8  carry,  possess,  repair  or dispose of a firearm unless the appropriate
     9  license therefor has been issued pursuant to section 400.00 of the penal
    10  law; provided, however, that if such employee is not currently a  police
    11  or  peace officer pursuant to section 1.20 of this title or 2.10 of this
    12  article, such employee must successfully complete the training  required
    13  under section 2.30 of this article.
    14    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
