        Introduced  by M. of A. SHIMSKY -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Codes -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered  reprinted
          as amended and recommitted to said committee
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  criminal procedure law, in relation to granting
          security officers serving at the  village  of  Ardsley  village  court
          peace officer status
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 2.10 of the criminal procedure law  is  amended  by
     2  adding a new subdivision 88 to read as follows:
     3    88.  Employees  of the village court of the village of Ardsley serving
     4  as security officers at such village court.  Such  officers  shall  only
     5  have  the  powers  listed in paragraphs (b), (h), and (i) of subdivision
     6  one of section 2.20 of this article; provided, however that  nothing  in
     7  this  subdivision shall be deemed to authorize such security officers to
     8  carry, possess, repair or dispose of a firearm  unless  the  appropriate
     9  license has been issued pursuant to section 400.00 of the penal law; and
    10  provided  further,  that  if  such a security officer is not otherwise a
    11  police officer pursuant to section 1.20 of this title or a peace officer
    12  pursuant to this  section,  such  security  officer  shall  successfully
    13  complete the training required under section 2.30 of this section.
    14    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
