        Introduced  by  M.  of A. MEEKS, LUCAS, MAHER, GIBBS, BICHOTTE HERMELYN,
          GALLAHAN, DAVILA, EPSTEIN, SANTABARBARA, SEPTIMO, REYES --  read  once
          and referred to the Committee on Health
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the public health law, in relation to extending wage
          parity for home care workers in upstate New York

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 3614-c of the public health law is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (c) to read as follows:
     3    (c)  The  minimum  rate of home care aide compensation in all counties
     4  other than Bronx, Queens, Kings, New York, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk and
     5  Westchester shall be:
     6    For all periods on or after October first, two  thousand  twenty-five,
     7  the  cash  portion  of  the minimum rate of home care aide total compen-
     8  sation shall be the minimum rate for the applicable region,  as  defined
     9  in  section  thirty-six hundred fourteen-f of this article plus an addi-
    10  tional three dollars and twenty-two cents per hour.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
