        AN ACT in relation to granting Gabrielle Tessler continued health cover-
          age in retirement
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
     2  and solely for the purpose of determining vesting for  continued  health
     3  coverage  in  retirement  pursuant to subdivision b of section 12-126 of
     4  the administrative code of the city of New York, Gabrielle  Tessler,  an
     5  employee  of  the  board  of  education  who is a member of the board of
     6  education retirement system, shall not be subject to  local  law  number
     7  nine  of  2010  of  the city of New York, shall be deemed to have become
     8  employed by the board of education prior to April 27, 2010, and shall be
     9  subject to clause (B) of subparagraph 3 of paragraph ii of subdivision a
    10  of section 12-126 of the administrative code of the city of New York.
    11    § 2. The associated costs of the implementation of this act  shall  be
    12  borne entirely by the city of New York.
    13    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
