        Introduced by M. of A. WOERNER, SHIMSKY -- read once and referred to the
          Committee on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development
 
        AN  ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in
          relation to naming rights of parks or other real property
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Section 3.17 of the parks, recreation and historic preser-
     2  vation law is amended by adding a new subdivision 3 to read as follows:
     3    3. No transferor of real property to  the  state  under  this  chapter
     4  shall  retain  the right to name such property, nor make naming rights a
     5  condition of the transfer, nor require that the property be named  after
     6  any  person,  living  or  dead.    The state shall not name any property
     7  acquired under this chapter after any person who has not  been  deceased
     8  for at least five years at the time of the acquisition of the property.
     9    § 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
