AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
the state highway system to the Boston Fire Company Fallen Firefight-
ers
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 342-aaa
2 to read as follows:
3 § 342-aaa. Portion of the state highway system to be dedicated to
4 Boston Fire Company Fallen Firefighters. The bridge on Rice Hill Road,
5 in the town of Boston, county of Erie, crossing over state route two
6 hundred nineteen, shall be dedicated to Boston Fire Company Fallen Fire-
7 fighters.
8 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
9 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
10 as dedicated pursuant to section one of this act, provided that such
11 signing shall state "Bridge Dedicated to Boston Fire Company Fallen
12 Firefighters". However, to avoid confusion and to limit any possible
13 disruption of commerce, the dedication called for pursuant to section
14 one of this act shall be one of ceremonial nature and the official name
15 of such bridge shall not be changed as a result of this act.
16 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
