AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to municipal sales tax
collections posted on the department of taxation and finance internet
website
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The tax law is amended by adding a new section 171-bb to
2 read as follows:
3 § 171-bb. Statewide municipal taxes posting system. The department
4 shall design, develop, compile, implement and operate an annual munici-
5 pal sales tax posting system for the posting and display on the depart-
6 ment's internet website of the amount of yearly sales tax collected in
7 each municipality in the state pursuant to subpart B of part one of
8 article twenty-nine of this chapter. Such information shall be posted on
9 the department's internet website by county and include each munici-
10 pality within such county.
11 § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
12 it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amend-
13 ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
14 tation of this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and
15 completed on or before such effective date.
