        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  education  law,  in relation to waiving tuition
          requirements for nonresident pupils whose parent works  as  an  educa-
          tional professional within the same district

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 2045 of the education law is amended  by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
     3    5.  No charge for the instruction of a nonresident pupil shall be made
     4  if the nonresident pupil is enrolled  in  a  school  where  the  pupil's
     5  parent  or  guardian  is a principal, a teacher or a paraprofessional or
     6  the nonresident pupil is enrolled at  another  school  within  the  same
     7  district  as  a school where the pupil's parent or guardian is a princi-
     8  pal, a teacher or a paraprofessional.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to  school
    10  years commencing on and after July 1, 2025.
