        AN ACT in relation to recovery for certain overpayments
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any law, rule, or regulation to the contra-
     2  ry, the higher education services corporation shall  not  seek  recovery
     3  for overpayment where, through administrative error by such corporation,
     4  a  student  was  incorrectly granted exclusion of parental income with a
     5  dependent for the 2021--2022, 2022--2023, or 2023--2024  academic  years
     6  for  the  purposes of determining eligibility pursuant to section 667 of
     7  the education law.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
