AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to technical changes; and to
amend chapter 433 of the laws of 2022 amending the tax law relating to
permitting the village of Cold Spring to impose a hotel and motel tax,
in relation to the effectiveness thereof
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 1202-hh of the tax law, as added by chapter 433 of
2 the laws of 2022, is renumbered section 1202-hh-2.
3 § 2. Section 2 of chapter 433 of the laws of 2022 amending the tax
4 law relating to permitting the village of Cold Spring to impose a hotel
5 and motel tax is amended to read as follows:
6 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
7 deemed repealed [3 years after such date] July 21, 2027.
8 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
9 the amendments to section 1202-hh of the tax law made by section one of
10 this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and shall be deemed
11 repealed therewith.
