        Introduced  by M. of A. JONES -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Environmental Conservation
 
        AN ACT permitting commercial sales during  the  Adirondack  Family  Book
          Festival  at  the  John  Brown Farm State Historic Site in North Elba,
          Essex County; and providing for the repeal  of  such  provisions  upon
          expiration thereof

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law,  includ-
     2  ing  any  applicable  rules  and regulations, the department of environ-
     3  mental conservation and/or the office of parks, recreation and  historic
     4  preservation  may  allow,  on August 16, 2025, the use of the John Brown
     5  Farm State Historic Site in North Elba, Essex County, and any structures
     6  or improvements thereon, for the sale of books and other  related  items
     7  at  the  Adirondack  Family Book Festival, provided that any such use be
     8  subject to reasonable restrictions and other applicable permit  require-
     9  ments, conditions, and fees.
    10    §  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
    11  deemed repealed August 17, 2025.
