AN ACT in relation to authorizing the department of health to designate
a level one or level two trauma center in Far Rockaway, county of
Queens
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The department of health shall designate a level one or
2 level two trauma center in Far Rockaway, Queens county if such center
3 meets all requirements, rules, and regulations promulgated by the
4 department; provided, however, such center shall not be required to
5 include a hospital and shall be exempt from conflicting requirements of
6 the American College of Surgeons.
7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
