          tee on Election Law
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend the election law, in relation to the date a change in
          voter enrollment becomes effective
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  3  of  section 5-304 of the election law, as
     2  amended by chapter 316 of the laws  of  2019,  is  amended  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4    3. A change of enrollment received by the board of elections will take
     5  effect  immediately, provided however, any change of enrollment received
     6  by the board of elections after February fourteenth  and  before  or  on
     7  seven  days after the [June primary shall take effect on the seventh day
     8  after the June primary] last day to file the certificate  of  nomination
     9  made at a caucus shall take effect on the seventh day after the last day
    10  to file the certificate of nomination made at a caucus.
    11    §  2.  This  act  shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall
    12  have become a law.    Effective  immediately,  the  addition,  amendment
    13  and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implementation
    14  of  this  act  on  its  effective  date  are  authorized  to be made and
    15  completed on or before such effective date.
