AN ACT directing the metropolitan transportation authority to rename the
Kingston Avenue train station to the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquar-
ters at the Kingston Avenue station
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the metro-
2 politan transportation authority is hereby directed to rename the King-
3 ston Avenue train station, running local on the IRT Eastern Parkway
4 Line, located at the intersection of Kingston Avenue and Eastern Parkway
5 in Crown Heights, in the borough of Brooklyn, county of Kings, as the
6 "Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters at Kingston Avenue station".
7 § 2. The metropolitan transportation authority shall update all maps,
8 signs, and materials in physical and digital form to reflect such name
9 change and shall coordinate with the appropriate city and state agencies
10 to ensure consistency across transportation systems.
11 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
