        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to providing notification
          to victims of crime about the address confidentiality program
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  1  of section 625-b of the executive law, as
     2  amended by section 16 of part A-1 of chapter 56 of the laws of 2010,  is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    1.  The  commissioner  of the division of criminal justice services in
     5  cooperation with the office shall develop and implement  a  standardized
     6  procedure  to  be  used by police officers, county sheriffs' departments
     7  and state police officers whereby victims of crime  are  notified  about
     8  the  rights  of  crime victims and the existence of programs designed to
     9  assist crime victims. Such notification shall include information on the
    10  address confidentiality program  established  pursuant  to  section  one
    11  hundred eight of this chapter.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
