        AN  ACT  to  amend the public health law, in relation to the Marketplace
          awarding grants to entities to serve as navigators
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Subdivision 15 of section 268-c of the public health law,
     2  as added by section 2 of part T of chapter 57 of the laws  of  2019,  is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    15.  Operate  a  program  under which the Marketplace awards grants to
     5  entities to serve as navigators in accordance  with  applicable  federal
     6  law and regulations adopted thereunder, and/or a program under which the
     7  Marketplace awards grants to entities to provide community based enroll-
     8  ment assistance in accordance with requirements developed by the Market-
     9  place;  and/or  a program under which the Marketplace certifies New York
    10  state licensed producers to provide assistance to  eligible  individuals
    11  and/or  small  employers  pursuant  to  federal or state law. Subject to
    12  appropriation, additional grants shall be awarded on an annual basis  to
    13  providers  in  the city of New York and counties where the rate of unin-
    14  sured individuals below four hundred  percent  of  the  federal  poverty
    15  level is above the statewide average.
    16    §  2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
    17  ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
