MEMORIALIZING Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim
April 20 - 26, 2025, as Administrative Professionals
Week in the State of New York
WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in recognizing the
valuable contribution of its varied professionals; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to memorialize
Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim April 20 - 26, 2025, as Administrative
Professionals Week in the State of New York, in conjunction with the
observance of National Administrative Professionals Day, Wednesday,
April 23, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Since 1952, the International Association of Administrative
Professionals (IAAP) has honored office workers by sponsoring
Administrative Professionals Week in appreciation of its various
dedicated and expert professionals; and
WHEREAS, Administrative Professionals play an essential role in
coordinating the office operations of businesses, government,
educational institutions and other organizations; and
WHEREAS, The work of administrative professionals today requires
advance knowledge and expertise in communications, computer software,
office technology, project management, organization, customer service
and other vital office management responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, Administrative Professionals Week celebrates and sheds
light on administrative professionals' devoted, valued work; there are
more than 22 million administrative and office support professionals
working in the United States; and
WHEREAS, The State of New York is deeply appreciative of the hard
work, expertise, and dedication of its administrative professionals;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
memorialize Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim April 20 - 26, 2025, as
Administrative Professionals Week in the State of New York; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Honorable Kathy Hochul, Governor of the State of New
York.
