Senate Resolution No. 1073

        CONGRATULATING  Seren  Lark  upon  the occasion of
        receiving the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, the
        most prestigious of Scouting  honors,  on  June  14,
        2025
 
  WHEREAS, Seren Lark, through her diligence and rigorous efforts, has
achieved  Scouting's highest and most prestigious rank, Eagle Scout; the
Eagle Court of Honor ceremony will be held on Saturday, June  14,  2025,
at the Wheatley School Auditorium in Old Westbury, New York; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Seren  Lark  of  East  Williston,  New York is a member of
Scouts BSA Troop 8 G; and
 
  WHEREAS, America has achieved its greatest heights of glory  through
the  dedication,  determination  and tireless efforts of the outstanding
citizens of this Nation; and
 
  WHEREAS, It is only with the continued diligence and devotion of our
youth, tomorrow's leaders, that America will maintain its glory; and
 
  WHEREAS, Scouts BSA and its members are dedicated to the development
of character and leadership in the youth of this Nation; and
 
  WHEREAS, Recognizing the important value of  an  active  Scouts  BSA
Troop  in  the  community, Seren Lark became a founding member of Scouts
BSA Troop 8; and
 
  WHEREAS, The highest achievement of leadership in  Scouting,  earned
by  approximately  five percent of all Scouts, is the distinguished rank
of Eagle Scout; and
 
  WHEREAS, This outstanding young woman has been involved in  Scouting
for  many  years, has lived up to Scouting's ideals and has attained all
the necessary achievements, including completion of a community  service
project, which was successfully planned, developed, and executed; and
 
  WHEREAS,  For  her  project,  Seren  Lark  led  a  conservation  and
beautification  project  at  Devlin  Field  for  the  Village  of   East
Williston, New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Her dedication to the safety and well-being of the citizens
of  East  Williston,  New  York  is  represented through her project and
demonstrates her devotion to both community and  commitment  to  others;
and
 
  WHEREAS,  As  she  goes  forward  in her academic career, Seren Lark
plans on continuing her education at the University  of  New  Hampshire,
Honors  College  while  continuing the ideals and principles of Scouting
America; and
 
  WHEREAS, Seren Lark's perseverance in rising through  the  ranks  to
Eagle  Scout  is  a strong indication of her ability to master difficult
 
tasks; her accomplishment will enable her to emerge as a  leader,  fully
equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex society; and
 
  WHEREAS, This new Eagle Scout is a credit to her family, her school,
her community, her State and her Nation, and no doubt her future will be
filled with accomplishments of equal importance; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations, in
recognition of the significance  of  this  meritorious  achievement,  to
congratulate  and honor Seren Lark on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout;
and be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Seren Lark.
