Senate Resolution No. 1121

        MOURNING    the    death   of   Robert   Violante,
        distinguished citizen  and  devoted  member  of  his
        community
 
  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens  of  the  State  of  New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert Violante of Somers, New York, died on Wednesday, May
14, 2025, at the age of 45; and
 
  WHEREAS, Born on December 21, 1979, in Yonkers, New York, to  loving
parents  Frank and Martha Violante, Robert Violante was the middle child
of three sons; he shared a close bond with his beloved  brothers,  Chris
and Brian; and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  gifted athlete from a young age, Robert Violante shined
at Somers High School as a standout in both football and basketball; his
talents and fierce determination led him to Iona  University,  where  he
played collegiate football; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Robert  Violante continued his prolific athletic career at
the University of Delaware; he then earned a degree in Special Education
at Mercy College and later obtained a  master's  degree  in  Educational
Administration; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert Violante distinguished himself in his profession and
by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Dedicating  his  life  to education and leadership, Robert
Violante began his professional journey as a special  education  teacher
and  rose  to the role of Dean of Students at Bergenfield High School in
New Jersey; and
 
  WHEREAS, Taking his passion and talent for sports,  Robert  Violante
diligently  coached  both  varsity  football and track where he inspired
countless students on and off the field; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert Violante's commitment to excellence, and his  spirit
of  humanity,  carried  over  into  all  fields of enterprise, including
charitable and civic endeavors; and
 
  WHEREAS, Known for his warmth, leadership, and unwavering commitment
to those around him, Robert Violante is remembered  as  a  beloved  son,
brother,  uncle,  and  coach; his presence touched the lives of many and
leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and dedication; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert Violante is  survived  by  his  parents,  Frank  and
Martha;  his  brothers,  Chris  (Hoda)  and Brian (Laura); his cherished
nephews,  Andrew,  Cameron,  Dylan,  and  Jordan;  his  precious  niece,
Natalie; and his longtime loving girlfriend, Dana Brescia; and
 
 
  WHEREAS,  Armed  with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Robert Violante leaves  behind  a  legacy  which  will  long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Robert Violante, distinguished  citizen  and  devoted
member of his community; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Robert Violante.
