COMMENDING the Red Knights International
Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Region 1, New York,
upon the occasion of hosting its 10th Annual
Firefighters Ride to benefit the Believe 271
Foundation
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those organizations and events which exemplify the highest
standards of community engagement, public service, and charitable
spirit; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
longstanding traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club,
Region 1, New York, upon the occasion of hosting its 10th Annual
Firefighters Ride, to be held at the Westmoreland Volunteer Fire
Department in Westmoreland, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club
was founded with the goal of promoting motorcycle safety, camaraderie
among firefighter motorcyclists, and support for community causes;
today, it has grown to encompass more than 300 chapters and over 9,000
members worldwide, united by a shared commitment to service and
solidarity; and
WHEREAS, The 10th Annual Firefighters Ride exemplifies the Club's
dedication to giving back to the community, with all proceeds benefiting
the Believe 271 Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission
is to provide financial support to volunteer firefighters and ladies
auxiliary members diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening
illnesses; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Believe 271 Foundation has grown
through the generosity of donors including local businesses, fire
departments, and individuals, ensuring that no firefighter faces their
battle alone, and reinforcing a deep sense of brotherhood and compassion
within the fire service; and
WHEREAS, The Red Knights Region 1, New York Chapter's continued
partnership with the Believe 271 Foundation demonstrates the very best
of what community service can achieve, merging the traditions of
volunteer firefighting with philanthropy, awareness, and fellowship; and
WHEREAS, This milestone 10th Annual Ride stands as a testament to
the enduring values of honor, unity, and care for others that define
both the Red Knights and the broader firefighting community; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club,
Region 1, New York, upon the occasion of hosting its 10th Annual
Firefighters Ride, and to recognize its invaluable support for the
Believe 271 Foundation and for all those who have served and sacrificed
in the name of public safety; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle
Club, Region 1, New York.
