HONORING the Sesame Flyers Caribbean Essence
Awards and Showcase, and recognizing its 2025
honorees for their distinguished contributions to
the Caribbean-American community
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those organizations and events that exemplify a deep commitment
to cultural heritage, civic empowerment, and the celebration of
community excellence; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to honor the
Sesame Flyers Caribbean Essence Awards and Showcase, presented by Sesame
Flyers International, Inc. to take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025; and
WHEREAS, The 2025 Caribbean Essence Awards and Showcase will
recognize a distinguished group of honorees whose professional
achievements and civic engagement exemplify the very best of
Caribbean-American excellence; and
WHEREAS, This year's honorees include individuals whose leadership,
advocacy, and dedication to community uplift continue to inspire and
empower others; and
WHEREAS, Held annually in Brooklyn, New York, the Caribbean Essence
Awards and Showcase uplifts the contributions of Caribbean-American
leaders, honors youth through scholarships, and provides an
inspirational platform to promote excellence, unity, and cultural pride;
and
WHEREAS, Sesame Flyers International, Inc., in its 42nd year of
service, continues to embody the ideals of cultural preservation, youth
empowerment, and community engagement, and the Caribbean Essence Awards
is a testament to that mission; and
WHEREAS, By honoring individuals who have made meaningful
contributions in fields such as education, public service, business, and
the arts, the Awards and Showcase fosters inspiration and cultivate a
legacy of leadership for generations to come; and
WHEREAS, It is fitting that this Legislative Body recognize the
Sesame Flyers Caribbean Essence Awards and Showcase, and its 2025
honorees, for their ongoing commitment to cultural excellence and
community advancement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Sesame Flyers Caribbean Essence Awards and Showcase and to
recognize its 2025 honorees for their remarkable service and
accomplishments; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sesame Flyers International, Inc.
