HONORING Emerald Chapter No. 81 upon the occasion
of celebrating its 40th Anniversary at the "Emerald
Turns Ruby: 40 Years of Excellence" event on October
5, 2025
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those distinguished organizations whose enduring commitment to
community uplift, spiritual growth, and sisterly devotion enrich the
fabric of New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to honor
Emerald Chapter No. 81, Prince Hall Order of the Eastern Star, as it
celebrates its 40th Anniversary at the "Emerald Turns Ruby: 40 Years of
Excellence" celebration on Sunday, October 5, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1985, Emerald Chapter No. 81 has
embodied the ideals of fidelity, charity, and service, becoming a beacon
of leadership and sisterhood within the Prince Hall family and the wider
community; and
WHEREAS, Under the steadfast leadership of Worthy Matron Tamika
Williams, the Chapter continues to grow in grace and impact, carrying
forth a proud tradition of excellence and nurturing the next generation
of women leaders and community advocates; and
WHEREAS, The "Emerald Turns Ruby" milestone not only commemorates 40
years of dedicated service but also symbolizes the strength, beauty, and
resilience that have defined the Chapter's legacy from its founding to
the present day; and
WHEREAS, The members of Emerald Chapter No. 81, past and present,
are to be lauded for their tireless efforts in promoting educational
advancement, charitable outreach, and spiritual enrichment throughout
Brooklyn and beyond; and
WHEREAS, It is fitting that this Legislative Body recognize and
commend Emerald Chapter No. 81 for its four decades of steadfast
service, principled leadership, and unyielding commitment to excellence;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Emerald Chapter No. 81 upon the occasion of its 40th Anniversary
and to applaud the vision and leadership of Worthy Matron Tamika
Williams and all who contribute to the Chapter's continuing success; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Emerald Chapter No. 81, Prince Hall Order of the Eastern
Star, and Worthy Matron Tamika Williams.
