Senate Resolution No. 1214

        COMMEMORATING  the  60th Anniversary of Nimey Auto
        Repair
 
  WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to  recognize  the
achievements   of  those  individuals  and  businesses  that  contribute
substantially to the economic vitality  of  their  communities,  thereby
enhancing economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Nimey Auto Repair; and
 
  WHEREAS,  In 1965, Joseph G. Nimey began the business known today as
Nimey Auto Repair in faithful service to his community; and
 
  WHEREAS, In 1975, Joseph G. Nimey officially purchased the  property
where  the business is located today: at the corner of Oneida Street and
Chapman Road in New Hartford, New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Joseph G. Nimey retired in 2002 and sold  the  business  to
his dedicated son, Joseph M. Nimey, who had been working at the business
since 1983 when he graduated high school; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Joseph  M.  Nimey,  alongside  two to three employees, has
since ran the business with professionalism and passion for the past  42
years; and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  true  family  legacy,  Joseph  M. Nimey's two children,
Greyden and Leighton, have enjoyed working at Nimey Auto Repair for  the
past seven and four years, respectively; and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  testament to love, teamwork, and a shared commitment to
excellence, Joseph M. Nimey's wife Lisa also joined the business as  the
office  manager  in  2019, taking care of customer relations with grace;
and
 
  WHEREAS, The success of Nimey Auto Repair is  due  in  part  to  the
commitment  and contributions of the dedicated leadership and staff over
the past six decades, including that  of  the  current  office  manager,
Jared Hartman; and
 
  WHEREAS, The Nimey family has, over the course of three generations,
developed a consistent clientele of valued community members-all of whom
bring joy and purpose to the faithful staff and management of Nimey Auto
Repair; and
 
  WHEREAS,  It  is  with  great  pleasure  that  this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to  the  local
and  state  economies,  and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will  continue  to  enjoy
the  sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Nimey Auto Repair; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Nimey Auto Repair.
