Senate Resolution No. 1223

        RECOGNIZING  Resilient  Young  Minds Inc. upon the
        occasion of hosting the 2025 Resilient  Young  Minds
        Suicide Walk, to be held on September 13, 2025
 
  WHEREAS, It is the longstanding practice of this Legislative Body to
recognize  the  vital  work of nonprofit organizations engaged in public
health  advocacy,  mental  health  support,  and   suicide   prevention,
especially those serving vulnerable youth; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Attendant to such concern, and in keeping with its highest
traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to recognize Resilient  Young
Minds  Inc.  (RYM  Inc.) upon the occasion of hosting the 2025 Resilient
Young Minds Suicide Walk to be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025,  in
Brooklyn, New York; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Resilient  Young  Minds Inc. is dedicated to empowering at
risk youth and families  through  resilience  training,  trauma-informed
interventions,  and  support  that fosters mental wellness and community
connection; and
 
  WHEREAS,  The  2025  Resilient  Young  Minds  Suicide  Walk  invites
participants from diverse communities to raise awareness, reduce stigma,
and  provide essential resources to those affected by suicidal ideation;
and
 
  WHEREAS, This  annual  event  has,  since  its  inception,  combined
wellness programming-such as yoga and art therapy-and suicide prevention
education to create a holistic and healing community environment; and
 
  WHEREAS,  This  Legislative  Body acknowledges the leadership of RYM
Founder and CEO Simone Muschett and the dedication of staff, volunteers,
and community advocates whose  compassionate  efforts  provide  healing,
connection, and hope; and
 
  WHEREAS,  It  is  fitting  for  this  Legislative  Body  to  commend
Resilient Young Minds Inc. for their tireless advocacy  and  to  support
initiatives  that  promote  youth  mental health and suicide prevention;
now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
recognize  and  applaud  Resilient Young Minds Inc. upon the occasion of
the 2025 Resilient Young Minds Suicide Walk; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted  to  Simone  Muschett  and  Resilient  Young Minds Inc. as a
symbol of this Legislative Body's    gratitude  and  support  for  their
invaluable contributions to mental health and community well-being.
