Senate Resolution No. 1271

        MOURNING   the   death   of  Warren  J.  Pohorely,
        distinguished citizen  and  devoted  member  of  his
        community
 
  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens  of  the  State  of  New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Warren J. Pohorely of Highland Mills,  New  York,  died  on
Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 90; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Born  on  September  25,  1934,  in  Queens,  New York, to
Augustus and Alice (Mulligan) Pohorely, Warren J. Pohorely lived a  life
of devotion to family, community, and country; and
 
  WHEREAS, Warren J. Pohorely proudly served his country in the United
States Army Reserves, exemplifying patriotism and a steadfast commitment
to the values of freedom and service; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Warren  J.  Pohorely had a long and dedicated career as an
electrician with Con Edison  in  Brewster,  New  York,  where  his  work
contributed to the well-being and progress of his community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  beloved  father,  grandfather,  and  great-grandfather,
Warren J.  Pohorely is survived by his two loving daughters, Carolyn and
Christine; his cherished grandson, Nicholas; his wife, Kaylie;  and  his
adored great-grandchildren, Lena Ava and Alexandra Jade; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Warren  J.  Pohorely  leaves  behind  a  legacy  of  love,
devotion, and integrity which will long endure the passage of  time  and
remain  as  a  comforting memory to all who were privileged to know him;
now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
mourn the death of Warren J. Pohorely, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Warren J. Pohorely.
