HONORING Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons upon the
occasion of her retirement after years of exemplary
service to her community and State
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor and
extol those individuals who perform exemplary service on behalf of their
communities and State, dedicating their energy and efforts to bettering
the lives of others; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons upon the occasion of her retirement from the
Oneida County Board of Elections after five years of service; and
WHEREAS, Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons began her service with the Oneida
County Board of Elections in 2020; despite her first year as Deputy
Commissioner of the Board being darkened by a global pandemic, as well
as occurring during a presidential election, she endured and agreed to
continue with the role; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons worked
closely with both Board leadership and staff to ensure compliance with
all State and federal laws and introduce the voter registration and
elections; and
WHEREAS, A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter, Sharie L.
Fiorini-Parsons's well-deserved retirement will allow her to spend more
time with her husband, Scott; her children, Danielle and Michael,
Chelsea and Michael, Kari and Frank, and Ariana; her grandchildren,
Giuliana, Francesca, Michelina, Giavanna, Nico, and Michael; her
parents, Jerry and Frannie; and her mother-in-law, Sheila; and
WHEREAS, In 2025, Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons retired from the Oneida
County Board of Elections after five years of dedicated service; this
auspicious occasion was celebrated on Friday, December 19, 2025, at It's
a Utica Thing! Kitchen & Bar; and
WHEREAS, Such service, which is truly the lifeblood of our
communities and State, too often goes unrecognized and unheralded; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons upon the occasion of her retirement; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sharie L. Fiorini-Parsons.
