Assembly Resolution No. 903

        HONORING  Dawn  Snyder  upon the occasion of being
        recognized as the  Clarence  Chamber  of  Commerce's
        2026 Citizen of the Year
 
  WHEREAS,  Individuals  who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
 
  WHEREAS, Dawn Snyder has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
 
  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dawn  Snyder
upon  the  occasion  of  being  recognized  as  the  Clarence Chamber of
Commerce's 2026 Citizen of the Year at the 53rd Annual  Awards  Gala  on
Thursday,  March 19, 2026 at Samuel's Grande Manor in Williamsville, New
York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Dawn Snyder has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
 
  WHEREAS, Over the past decade, Dawn Snyder has been a driving  force
in  the Clarence Central School District where she has served in various
leadership roles in the  Parent-Teacher  Organizations,  co-founded  the
Clarence  Schools  Enrichment  Foundation  (CSEF), which has raised over
$475,000 that benefit the students of the district, and helped shape the
educational programming by  serving  on  the  Executive  Committee  that
launched the Clarence High School Academy of Business and Finance; and
 
  WHEREAS,  In  her  ninth  year  as a member of the Clarence Board of
Education, Dawn Snyder serves as  vice  president  of  the  Erie  County
Association  of School Boards and is an advocate for student well-being;
she was instrumental in forming the Family Support Center and serves  on
its Advisory Board; and
 
  WHEREAS,  As  President  of  the Clarence Community Foundation, Dawn
Snyder launched the  Clarence  Community  Giving  Project,  where  local
nonprofits  come  together  to help those in need during the holidays by
providing gift cards, and the International Day of  Sharing,  which  was
created to educate and create awareness of the different cultures within
our community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Knowing  no  bounds  to  community  service, Dawn Snyder's
philanthropic work also includes serving on the Executive Board  of  the
Clarence  Contemporary  Club,  which  fosters  civic  pride and supports
charitable and educational activities, and as the Event Coordinator  for
Fireworks in the Park; and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  devoted member of the Clarence Global Methodist Church,
Dawn Snyder serves on the Staff-Pastor-Parish Relations Team; and
 
  WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her  community  service,  a
period  of  constructive  involvement, Dawn Snyder has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Rare  indeed  is  the  impressive  dedication  shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which  Dawn  Snyder  has  displayed
throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dawn Snyder upon the occasion of being recognized as the  Clarence
Chamber of Commerce's 2026 Citizen of the Year; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dawn Snyder.
