        HONORING  Mary  Ann  Kubinski upon the occasion of
        her  retirement  after  more  than   50   years   of
        distinguished   service   to   the  New  York  State
        Department of Labor
 
  WHEREAS,  This  Legislative  Body   seeks   to   acknowledge   those
individuals  whose  professional  lives  and  civic  endeavors  serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Mary Ann Kubinski upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 50
years of distinguished service to the New York State Department of Labor
on Wednesday, January 28, 2026; and
 
  WHEREAS,  For  over  50  years, Mary Ann Kubinski rendered faithful,
conscientious, and valuable service to the New York State Department  of
Labor; and
 
  WHEREAS,  In  her  capacities  as  an employment counselor and labor
services representative, Mary Ann Kubinski served with  loyalty,  honor,
and distinction; and
 
  WHEREAS, Mary Ann Kubinski entered the Department of Labor on May 4,
1970, and was first appointed to the position of employment counselor on
September  9,  1975,  serving  in  this  role  for  28  years before she
initially retired in 2003; and
 
  WHEREAS, In 2006, Mary Ann Kubinski returned to the New  York  State
Department  of  Labor  as  an  hourly labor services representative, the
esteemed role which she served valiantly for the past 20 years; and
 
  WHEREAS, In her official acts, Mary Ann Kubinski was governed  by  a
keen  sense  of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems;
and
 
  WHEREAS, With her throughout much of her career and  full  life  had
been  her  beloved  husband, Ted, to whom she was proudly married for 50
years, as well as their son, Ted, and his wife, Tonya, all of whom  feel
privileged  to  be  a  part of her fruitful life and rejoice in her many
achievements; and
 
  WHEREAS, During her tenure with the New  York  State  Department  of
Labor, Mary Ann Kubinski earned the admiration, esteem, and affection of
her colleagues; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mary Ann Kubinski upon the occasion of  her  retirement  after  50
years of distinguished service; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mary Ann Kubinski.
