COMMENDING the Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council
upon the occasion of hosting its 2025-2026 Founders'
Day Dinner and Award Celebration
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those organizations whose dedication and commitment to civic
engagement, education, and community service contribute immeasurably to
the strength and vitality of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council upon the occasion of
hosting its 2025-2026 Founders' Day Dinner and Award Celebration on
Monday, March 30, 2026, a meaningful annual tradition which honors
individuals whose service and dedication have made a lasting and
positive impact on their schools, the PTA, and the greater community;
and
WHEREAS, The Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council, through its
steadfast advocacy and volunteer leadership, has long served as a vital
partner in fostering collaboration among parents, educators, school
staff, and community members in support of children and public
education; and
WHEREAS, Founders' Day is a distinguished occasion which
acknowledges volunteers, educators, staff, and community members who
exemplify the core values of the PTA through their commitment,
leadership, and service; and
WHEREAS, This year's celebration will recognize a group of
outstanding honorees whose collective efforts reflect the highest ideals
of volunteerism and community engagement, including: Leigh Henrich;
Matthew Bergson-Gomm; Scott E. Buszko; Stacy Rogers; Elizabeth Vulin;
Aileen Sharkey; Tammy Kuo; Christina Nieves; Ilissa Wilk; Carina Hale;
Heather Brenner; Patrick Bellport; Andrea Lee; Glenn Chiarello; Leonardo
Rivera; Ross Gillman; Phyllis Skudder; Justin Carey; and Christopher
Dillon; and
WHEREAS, Through their dedication and service, these honorees have
strengthened the partnership between families, schools, and the
community, thereby enhancing the educational experience and well-being
of students throughout the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District; and
WHEREAS, The Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council, together with its
honorees, exemplifies the spirit of service and collaboration that is
essential to building strong schools and thriving communities; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council upon the occasion of
hosting its 2025-2026 Founders' Day Dinner and Award Celebration on
March 30, 2026, and to extend its deepest appreciation to the
distinguished honorees for their exemplary service and dedication; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Plainview-Old Bethpage PTA Council and to the
aforementioned honorees.
