COMMEMORATING the 100th Anniversary of Champlain
Valley Physicians Hospital
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those organizations and institutions which have demonstrated a
long and sustained commitment to improving the health and well-being of
their communities through excellence, compassion, and service; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Champlain Valley Physicians
Hospital; and
WHEREAS, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital first welcomed
patients to its Beekman Street facility in January of 1926, marking the
beginning of a new era of healthcare in the North Country and
establishing a legacy of high-quality, patient-centered care guided by
the vision of hospital benefactor William H. Miner; and
WHEREAS, Over the past century, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital
has been shaped by generations of caregivers, staff, and physicians
whose dedication and commitment have strengthened the hospital's role as
a trusted place of healing and a vital community resource; and
WHEREAS, As healthcare has evolved over the last 100 years,
Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital has continued to meet the changing
needs of the community while remaining grounded in its mission to
provide compassionate, high-quality care to its North Country neighbors;
and
WHEREAS, The centennial celebration of Champlain Valley Physicians
Hospital stands as a profound reminder of the hospital's enduring
commitment to the health and well-being of the North Country community;
and
WHEREAS, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital celebrates a legacy
built over a century through compassion, excellence, and public trust,
and its great accomplishments are possible through the tireless efforts
of generations of caregivers, staff, physicians, and nurses who have
answered the call to serve; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Champlain Valley Physicians
Hospital, honoring its rich history and celebrating its continued
commitment to serving its community for generations to come; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital.
