CONGRATULATING Caden Bowman upon the occasion of
winning the NYSPHSAA Division I Bowling Championship
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those young individuals within the State of New York who
distinguish themselves through outstanding achievement in athletic
competition, thereby bringing honor to themselves, their schools, and
their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Caden Bowman, a sophomore at Horseheads High School, upon
the occasion of capturing the New York State Public High School Athletic
Association Division I Bowling Championship on Saturday, March 14, 2026,
at AMF Syracuse Lanes; and
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional skill, focus, and determination,
Caden Bowman delivered a remarkable performance in the individual
competition, compiling an impressive six-game total of 1,438 pins, with
game scores of 234, 248, 255, 224, 243, and 234, resulting in an
outstanding average of 239.67; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the championship event, Caden Bowman exhibited
extraordinary consistency and competitive excellence, never recording a
game below 224, and achieving a commanding margin of victory of 72 pins
over the nearest competitor; and
WHEREAS, His performance was distinguished not only by its dominance
but also by its balance, as he recorded two separate three-game series
exceeding 700 pins, underscoring both endurance and sustained precision
under pressure; and
WHEREAS, Caden Bowman's achievement represents a significant
milestone, as he becomes the first student-athlete in his school's
history to earn a state championship title in bowling, marking a proud
and historic moment for his community; and
WHEREAS, Such an outstanding accomplishment is the culmination of
countless hours of dedication, disciplined training, and a steadfast
commitment to excellence, qualities which are worthy of the highest
praise; and
WHEREAS, Caden Bowman has clearly demonstrated that athletic success
is achieved through perseverance, preparation, and an unwavering pursuit
of one's goals, serving as an inspiring example to his peers and future
generations; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Caden Bowman upon the occasion of winning the NYSPHSAA
Division I Bowling Championship; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Caden Bowman.
