HONORING Noble James Edens, the 74th Illustrious
Potentate of Abu Bekr Temple No. 91, upon the
occasion of the Potentate's Ball on April 5, 2025
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor and
recognize those esteemed individuals and organizations who exemplify the
highest standards of leadership, service, and commitment to their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Noble James Edens, the 74th Illustrious Potentate of Abu Bekr
Temple No. 91, upon the occasion of the Potentate's Ball on Saturday,
April 5, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Abu Bekr Temple No. 91, an esteemed body of Ancient
Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine (A.E.A.O.N.M.S.), has long
served as a beacon of service, fellowship, and unity, upholding the
principles of philanthropy, brotherhood, and dedication to the
advancement of the community; and
WHEREAS, Noble James Edens, through his dynamic leadership as the
74th Illustrious Potentate of Abu Bekr Temple No. 91, has demonstrated a
tireless commitment to promoting these principles, fostering growth and
excellence within the Temple while championing initiatives which uplift
the underserved and inspire positive change; and
WHEREAS, Under Noble James Edens' stewardship, Abu Bekr Temple No.
91 has continued to advance its mission of community service through
charitable endeavors, scholarship programs, and outreach efforts,
embodying the motto "Fun, Fellowship, and Philanthropy"; and
WHEREAS, Noble James Edens has led by example, embodying the values
of integrity, humility, and dedication and inspiring his fellow Nobles
and community members to join in building a stronger and more unified
society; and
WHEREAS, The Potentate's Ball is a time-honored tradition within Abu
Bekr Temple No. 91, providing an opportunity to celebrate the
accomplishments and leadership of the Illustrious Potentate and to
reflect upon the Temple's enduring impact and continued commitment to
service; and
WHEREAS, The success of Abu Bekr Temple No. 91 is inextricably
linked to the vision and dedication of its leaders, including Noble
James Edens, whose service and contributions have left an indelible mark
on the Temple and its community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Noble James Edens, the 74th Illustrious Potentate of Abu Bekr
Temple No. 91, upon the occasion of the Potentate's Ball on April 5,
2025, and to commend him for his unwavering dedication to excellence,
service, and the betterment of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Noble James Edens, the 74th Illustrious Potentate of Abu
Bekr Temple No. 91.
