COMMENDING the Jewish Community Relations Council
of New York upon the occasion of hosting its 2025
Gala on June 23, 2025
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those esteemed organizations which have demonstrated a steadfast
commitment to service, community empowerment, and the principles of
unity and collaboration; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York upon the
occasion of hosting its 2025 Gala on Monday, June 23, 2025, celebrating
its enduring contributions to the Jewish community and the Greater New
York area; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Jewish Community Relations Council
of New York (JCRC-NY) has been dedicated to building relationships which
advance the values, interests, and security of the Jewish community,
striving to create a more interconnected New York State for all
individuals; and
WHEREAS, Serving as the central coordinating and resource body for
the Jewish community in the Metropolitan New York area, JCRC-NY
proactively advocates for and ensures the rights, interests, and values
of the Jewish community while fostering joint and cooperative action
among its members and other organizations; and
WHEREAS, The 2025 Gala serves as an opportunity to reflect on
JCRC-NY's ongoing commitment to community engagement, honor the
achievements of its members, and celebrate the enduring bonds of
collaboration and fellowship; and
WHEREAS, Through initiatives, such as promoting equality of
opportunity, encouraging amicable relationships among various groups,
and protecting the rights and interests of the Jewish community, JCRC-NY
continues to uplift and support those in need, demonstrating an
unwavering dedication to the betterment of society; and
WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that this Legislative Body pause
in its deliberations to acknowledge the significance of this event and
to recognize the profound contributions of the Jewish Community
Relations Council of New York in fostering leadership, service, and
excellence within the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York upon the
occasion of hosting its 2025 Gala and to extend sincere appreciation to
its members and leadership for their enduring commitment to the ideals
of community relations and public service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York.
