        HONORING  Morluski's Polish & Italian Cuisine upon
        the occasion of its designation as recipient of  the
        Small  Business  of  the  Year Award by the Clarence
        Chamber of Commerce on March 20, 2025
 
  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize  and
commend  those  distinguished  businesses  which  devote  their work and
purpose to  community  service,  contributing  to  the  welfare  of  the
citizens of their communities and this great Empire State; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Morluski's Polish & Italian Cuisine upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the Small Business of the Year  Award  by  the  Clarence
Chamber  of Commerce, to be celebrated at its 52nd Annual Awards Gala at
Samuel's Grande Manor in Williamsville, New York, on Thursday, March 20,
2025; and
 
  WHEREAS, Morluski's Polish  &  Italian  Cuisine  is  receiving  this
prestigious  award  for  its steadfast and unremitting commitment to the
beloved community of Clarence; and
 
  WHEREAS, Polish owner of Morluski's, Jeannine Morlacci,  opened  the
establishment in 2017 in Clarence, New York; in 2020, the opportunity to
transform  a  vacant  150-year-old  church  into a restaurant where both
Polish and  Italian  authentic  dishes  are  served,  unlike  any  other
restaurant in the country, presented itself; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Morluski's  Polish  &  Italian  Cuisine  is a family-owned
business with its roots in Kaisertown, a Buffalo neighborhood;  Jeannine
Morlacci's  Italian  father-in-law,  Domenico Morlacci, first arrived in
the predominantly Polish neighborhood  and  started  his  own  business;
paying homage to her father-in-law, the name Morluski's is a combination
of both Italian and Polish heritages; and
 
  WHEREAS,  With  husband, Domenic, and two sons, Brandon and Randy by
her side, Jeannine Morlacci has experienced much success with Morluski's
Polish & Italian Cuisine; and
 
  WHEREAS,  In  2021,  the  General  Pulaski   Association   presented
Morluski's  Polish  &  Italian Cuisine with the Polish American Business
Owner of the Year Award; for three consecutive  years,  from  2021-2023,
the  Taste of Clarence festival bestowed the Silver Spoon Award upon the
popular and successful restaurant; and
 
  WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Morluski's Polish &  Italian  Cuisine
has been committed to quality food and exceptional customer service; its
unique flamingo décor, stained glass windows, authentic church interior,
outdoor  patio,  cozy  fireplace,  and  music  bring joy, happiness, and
blessings to its patrons  who  will  enjoy  the  delicious  cuisine  and
family-friendly atmosphere for years to come; and
 
  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their communities and have  shown
a  long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Morluski's Polish & Italian  Cuisine  upon  the  occasion  of  its
designation  as recipient of the Small Business of the Year Award by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Morluski's Polish & Italian Cuisine.
