CONGRATULATING Twin Orchards Farms upon the
occasion of achieving more than 80 years in business
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Twin Orchards Farms upon the occasion of achieving more
than 80 years in business; and
WHEREAS, Located in New Hartford, New York, Twin Orchards Farms has
been a cornerstone of the community; for generations, this family-owned
business has attained a legacy of cherished memories with its loyal
customers; and
WHEREAS, In 1943, Lloyd N. Yager purchased Twin Orchards Farms for
his son, Donald G. Yager; together, the father and son managed the
orchard until Lloyd sold the business to Donald in 1951; and
WHEREAS, In 1998, Donald G. Yager passed Twin Orchards Farms to his
sons, Lloyd W. and Jon E. Yager; for more than eight decades, the
orchard has served its customers well; however, choosing retirement, the
Yager family will close the business; and
WHEREAS, The Yager family and the hard-working staff of Twin
Orchards Farms are deeply grateful for the patronage of their customers
throughout the years, and they credit all the visitors during the
history of the orchard with its wonderful success; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body, as well as the residents of the Town
of New Hartford, applaud the Yager family for their successful business,
which contributed to the growth of the community, and the services they
provided for their neighbors' needs; and
WHEREAS, The success of Twin Orchards Farms is in direct correlation
to the efforts of its hardworking and dedicated owners who will stand as
role models to all great business owners in the State and beyond; their
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all undertakings; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant and purposeful role in improving
the quality of life in its community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Twin Orchards Farms, upon the occasion of achieving more
than 80 years in business, and to wish the Yager family joy in their
retirement and success in all future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Twin Orchards Farms.
