        CONGRATULATING  Teegan Sibble upon the occasion of
        her capturing  the  2025  NYSPHSAA  Girls  Wrestling
        Championship  in  the 114-pound Division on February
        27, 2025
 
  WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly  sought  after
in  high  school  sports;  this  Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special  recognition  to  those  who  pursue  such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and
 
  WHEREAS,  Athletic  competition  helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and
 
  WHEREAS, This Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to  congratulate
Bolivar-Richburg  High  School's  Teegan Sibble upon the occasion of her
capturing the historic first-ever  NYSPHSAA  Girls  114-pound  Wrestling
Championship; and
 
  WHEREAS,  To  the praise and applause of her family and exited fans,
Teegan Sibble defeated her opponent from Bethpage Central  School  by  a
pin in 1:11, on February 27, 2025, at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York;
and
 
  WHEREAS,  This  outstanding performance earned Teegan Sibble the New
York State Girls 114-pound Wrestling Championship; and
 
  WHEREAS, Teegan Sibble went 3-0 at the State  Tournament,  defeating
her first opponent in :44, and her second opponent with a technical fall
13-2; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Teegan  Sibble  is  the second State Wrestling Champion in
Bolivar-Richburg school history, the only other school champion  is  her
brother, Trent Sibble; and
 
  WHEREAS, In a sport such as wrestling, which demands focus, strength
and  skill, Bolivar-Richburg High School Wrestling Coaches Andrew Taylor
and Todd Taylor worked hard to mentor and inspire Teegan Sibble  in  her
record-breaking  season,  teaching this outstanding athlete life lessons
which will prove invaluable on and off the mat; and
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
congratulate  Teegan Sibble on an outstanding season which culminated in
her winning the 2025 NYSPHSAA Girls  114-pound  Wrestling  Championship,
and  to Coach Andrew Taylor and Coach Todd Taylor for guiding her during
her history-making season; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be  transmitted  to  Teegan
Sibble,  Coach  Andrew  Taylor,  Coach Todd Taylor and Athletic Director
Dustin Allen.
