HONORING Lieutenant Lee Bolsover after 26 years of
dedicated service to the North Tonawanda Police
Department
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished officers who would devote themselves to public
service, demonstrating great courage and diligence in providing for the
care and welfare of the citizens of their communities and this great
Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Lieutenant Lee Bolsover after 26 years of dedicated service to the North
Tonawanda Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their
exemplary contributions and service on behalf of others; and
WHEREAS, Lee Bolsover started with North Tonawanda Police Department
in 2000 and quickly rose through the ranks of the department; he became
a field training officer in 2002, and later was assigned to the SWAT
team in 2004, before earning the rank of SWAT team commander, the
esteemed role from which he will retire; and
WHEREAS, In 2013, Lee Bolsover was promoted to the rank of
Lieutenant and continued to in the Patrol Division for the rest of his
career; and
WHEREAS, Exemplifying true heroism and pride in his career,
Lieutenant Lee Bolsover received a lifesaving award in 2018 for saving a
citizen from the freezing waters of the Erie Canal; and
WHEREAS, In his official acts, Lieutenant Lee Bolsover was governed
by a keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human
problems; and
WHEREAS, During his tenure with the North Tonawanda Police
Department, Lieutenant Lee Bolsover earned the admiration, esteem, and
affection of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
dedicated public servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the
preservation of order and the protection of others are worthy and due
full praise for their commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Lieutenant Lee Bolsover after 26 years of dedicated service to the
North Tonawanda Police Department; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to honoring Lieutenant Lee Bolsover.
