Assembly Resolution No. 1149

        COMMEMORATING  the  72nd  Wedding  Anniversary  of
        Ralph and Lois Humphreys, devoted residents  of  New
        Hartford, New York
 
  WHEREAS,  It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those enduring unions that serve as a testament to the strength of
commitment, perseverance, and love, and which stand as an inspiration to
the people of the State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
longstanding  traditions,  this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud to
commemorate the 72nd Wedding Anniversary of Ralph and Lois Humphreys, to
be celebrated on June 13, 2026; and
 
  WHEREAS, Ralph Humphreys and Lois Garrabrant were united in marriage
in 1954, beginning a  lifelong  journey  together  rooted  in  love  and
dedication; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Their courtship began as New Hartford High School students
on a hayride in 1952, a humble yet  meaningful  start  to  a  remarkable
partnership that has endured for more than seven decades; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Throughout  their  72  years  of  marriage, Ralph and Lois
Humphreys have exemplified the true meaning of  partnership,  guided  by
mutual  respect,  unwavering  faith,  and  a steadfast commitment to one
another; and
 
  WHEREAS, Together, they built not only a strong and  loving  family,
but  also  a  successful  family business, R.B. Humphreys, Inc., working
side-by-side for decades alongside  their  children  and  grandchildren,
embodying the values of hard work, unity, and perseverance; and
 
  WHEREAS,   Their   dedication   to   community  service  is  equally
noteworthy, as active members of the New Hartford First United Methodist
Church, where they served in numerous leadership  and  volunteer  roles,
and through their continued support of local charitable efforts; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Blessed  with  a  large  and loving family, including four
children, fourteen  grandchildren,  and  seventeen  great-grandchildren,
Ralph  and  Lois  Humphreys  have  created  a lasting legacy grounded in
faith, family, and shared values; and
 
  WHEREAS, Their lifetime of shared experiences, from raising a family
and building businesses to traveling across all 50 states and around the
world, reflects a deep and abiding commitment  to  one  another  and  to
living life to the fullest; and
 
  WHEREAS,  The  longevity  of  their  marriage stands as a tribute to
their strength of character and the  deep  affection  they  continue  to
share,   offering  an  inspiring  example  to  their  community  and  to
generations to come; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
commemorate  the  72nd  Wedding Anniversary of Ralph and Lois Humphreys,
and to extend its heartfelt congratulations and  best  wishes  for  many
more years of happiness together; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ralph and Lois Humphreys.
