MOURNING the death of Kyle Tamar Brace,
distinguished citizen and devoted member of her
community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to mourn
the death of Kyle Tamar Brace, distinguished citizen and devoted member
of her community; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Albany, Kyle Tamar Brace died on Thursday,
June 6, 2024, at the age of 60; and
WHEREAS, On June 5, 1964, Kyle Tamar Brace was born to Abbie Lee and
Waddell Brace, Sr., in Albany, New York; she pursued her education in
the Albany Public School system, focusing on administrative skills and
management; and
WHEREAS, Kyle Tamar Brace continued her academic journey at Hudson
Valley Community College, specializing in computer science; throughout
her professional life, she dedicated 30 remarkable years to serving
under multiple Majority Leaders in the New York State Assembly until her
death; and
WHEREAS, Known for her charming and loving personality, Kyle Tamar
Brace touched the hearts of many in her community and everyone she
encountered daily; her kindness and hilarious sense of humor instantly
made people feel embraced and cherished; and
WHEREAS, Kyle Tamar Brace believed in nurturing lasting and
meaningful relationships with her family, friends, and community
members; her direct approach to communicating about life allowed her to
form profound connections, complemented by her faith; and
WHEREAS, Kyle Tamar Brace is survived by her children, Kira and
Daquan Young; and siblings, Dorethea, Wayne, Don-Anthony, Mandell,
Stephanie, Carlton, Thomas, Paula, Harlan, Vincent Brace, and Sam
Burton; she is preceded in death by her parents, Abbie Lee and Waddell
Brace, Sr.; siblings, Joseph, Jr., Rodney, Kenneth, and Krten Brace; and
grandparents, Ollie Mae Hands-Johnson and Annabelle Brace-French; her
memory is cherished by her closest friends, in-laws, a plethora of
nieces and nephews, and colleagues who celebrate her life; and
WHEREAS, Kyle Tamar Brace distinguished herself in her profession
and by her dedication and contribution to the welfare of her community,
State, and Nation; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
dedicated individuals who devote their lives to the betterment of their
communities are worthy and due praise for their commitment and
endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Kyle Tamar Brace leaves a legacy which will endure the
passage of time and remain a memory to all she served and befriended;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Kyle Tamar Brace, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of her community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Kyle Tamar Brace.
