COMMEMORATING the 100th Anniversary of the
Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to commemorate the 100th
Anniversary of the Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue and to honor its past
and present firefighting members for 100 years of fire protection to the
citizens of Rensselaer Falls, New York, and its surrounding communities;
and
WHEREAS, Fire departments are an integral part of community
protection services in every locality of our State; during the past 100
years, the courageous and devoted firefighters of the Rensselaer Falls
Fire & Rescue have valiantly responded to all types of fire emergencies
and have won the praise and respect of the community which they serve;
and
WHEREAS, The Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue, located in the Village
of Rensselaer Falls, New York, proudly celebrates its 100th year of
unwavering dedication and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, For a century, the brave men and women of the Rensselaer
Falls Fire & Rescue have stood as a beacon of courage, selflessness, and
commitment, responding to emergencies, protecting lives, and
safeguarding property; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed department has consistently demonstrated
professionalism, expertise, and a profound sense of civic duty, evolving
with the times to provide essential fire suppression, rescue, and
emergency medical services; and
WHEREAS, The volunteers and members of the Rensselaer Falls Fire &
Rescue have, for generations, contributed countless hours of training,
sacrifice, and vigilance, often putting themselves in harm's way to
ensure the safety and well-being of their neighbors; and
WHEREAS, Their enduring legacy of community service, unwavering
spirit, and dedication to public safety continues to inspire and
strengthen the fabric of the Village of Rensselaer Falls; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body cannot express sufficient gratitude
to those devoted individuals who recognize that the preservation of life
and property is a sacred responsibility and who make that responsibility
their own by serving as firefighters; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that we should
give special recognition to those who work so assiduously for the
betterment of their communities, and acknowledge publicly the heroic
good works performed by the volunteer fire departments of this great
Empire State, their officers and auxiliaries; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend and congratulate Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue upon the
occasion of its 100th Anniversary, and to extend sincere appreciation
for a century of dedicated service, heroic commitment, and enduring
contributions to the safety and well-being of the community it so
faithfully serves; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue.
